It's hard to find a size 38A bra that is not substantial. The straps don't dig into you because they are substantial. I like it because it doesn't show through a shirt. I just wish you had it in white and maybe peach or pint. Thank you for a wonderful product!Buy Amoena Seamless Soft Cup!

This bra is so wonderful! It is very comfortable and looks great under my shirts. I have been wearing it the past two weeks and am not due for another week in a half. It is definitely what I would consider a good size bra if you have a little extra coming out of the top of your 34D bra's, yet it will definitely hold for the milk season, too. There was no cup support at all on this nursing bra. I think when you are nursing you need more support than normal and no bra/nursing bra makers seem to be able to figure out how to do that. Buy Playtex Women's Nursing Wirefree Bra!

I was excited to get this product after seeing it online. When it came I was pleased with the color and softness of the gown. I held it up to make sure it would fit around my after baby belly and it seemed like a nice fit. That was my mistake. I should have tried it on before washing it. I put the gown on for the first time that night and what a disappointment! The cut of the gown is horrible. I think a person would have to have size double z's to fill out the top enough to fit some what decently. I am a double D and come no where close to filling out the top. It seems to run very big. I honestly think I could have sewn together a better product and I don't sew. Buy Aimee Bra-less Nursing Nightgown!

I've had this bra now for about a month and so far it's working out well. Seems to be good quality and as comfortable as you'll probably get at this point. My only complaint is that they seem to run on the small side--I'd say about 2 sizes too small. If you can find a store that sells these bras, I'd highly recommend trying them on. Then ordering through Amazon since it's so much cheaper. I ended up having to pay almost $30 for ground shipping through FedEx to send back the 2 that I originally bought.Buy Anita Maternity Women's Underwire Nursing Bra #5035!

I am nursing twins and the extra milk produced makes a big difference. I never had a problem with blocked ducts with my singletons, but with the twins I was getting them all the time. They were very painful and of course would sometimes get infected. I tried sleep bras and lots of other bras by Medela as well as other brands, but all of them gave me blocked ducts by pressing on me at some point. Only this bra managed to give support without creating pressure points that caused blockages. Every now and then I wear one of the other bras, but every time I do it I get blockages. These bras also go in the washer and dryer. The only downside is that they cover a lot of area so will tend to show if you wear a v-neck or a wide neck shirt.Buy Medela Comfort Maternity Nursing Bra - Nude - Extra Large!

As a Plus Size Woman without the Plus Size Cup size (I'm a 46B) it is very difficult and almost impossible to find bras normally and it was even harder when I started shopping for nursing bras. I wanted something without underwires yet with good support for when my milk comes in after delivery. I started wearing this the day after it came and this bra has all the features I was looking for. It is comfortable enough to sleep in in and I can open and close the cups easily one handed. I also liked the added bonus of the grafics designed for the babies benfit. The price was right too. I would recommend this nursing bra to anyone.Buy Goddess Women's Love At First Sight Nursing Bra #GD1001!

Please try on this bra (postpartum) before purchase. It basically feels like control top pantyhose for your boobs. Very, very tight. YOU WILL LEAK. Note that there are no snaps/clasps in the back. You pull it on over your head like a sports bra. Only a sports bra is at least a little roomy and stretchy. This is like a nylon corset for your chest. And the clasps you use to unhook each cup pop open on their own all the time. Hold your baby against your shirt and it pops open. Hug someone and it pops open. Your dog looks at you funny and it pops open. There are much better nursing bras on the market. Don't waste your money on this one.Buy Medela Comfort Nursing Bra - Black!

After an exhaustive search, I have concluded that this is the best nursing bra out there for me. It fits all of my requirements: it is sexy, supportive, has no underwire, comes in black, and isn't terribly expensive. The only problem? I was a 32DD before I got pregnant and 4 months after giving birth, I am a 34G. It doesn't come in my size! Elle, if you're reading this, PLEASE consider manufacturing a G cup for those of us with small bands and large busts! For the record, here is my feedback on some similar items. Keep in mind this might not apply to smaller cup sizes:

-Melinda G Glorious Contour: Sexy, cute, pretty supportive, but get the right cup size or your boobs will "marshmallow" over the deeply plunging cups.
-Bravado Sugar & Spice Micorfiber: Really pretty, but totally unsupportive
-Bravado Exquisite: Looks nothing like the photos, hideous colors! Support was pretty good, though.
-Freya Rosalie: A little bit school-marmy for my taste, and flimsy material might not last
-Anita softcup 5062: Fairly supportive but not incredibly sexy; don't wear every day or it will stretch.
-Gilligan & O'Malley Nursing Sleep Bra: I got this in 38D just for sleeping and it is unsupportive but better than nothing

Hope this helps! I wish bra manufacturers would realize that those of us with large busts want to look sexy, too! Breastfeeding isn't the *only* reason we shop for new bras. How about a little lift, a little lace, and a little lightening up of the price while you're at it?Buy Elle Macpherson Intimates Maternelle No-wire drop cup bra!

I love that this bra comes in large cup sizes with smaller band sizes and is underwire - a surprisingly difficult combination to find. I also like that this bra isn't as expensive as others.

Unfortunately, this bra felt uncomfortable to me. I tried four sizes (32G, 32H, 34G, and 34H) and they were all a bit uncomfortable. The shoulder straps, which are fairly wide in the sizes I tried (maybe slightly wider than my thumb at the knuckle), scratched and dug into my skin enough to annoy me. Also, the fabric that rested under my arm pit rubbed a bit, irritating my skin in all four sizes I tried on (I took all four to a lactation consultant to help fit me).

I returned the Anita bras and tried the Bella Materna Seamless Full Cup Underwire Nursing Bra (#1361) in a 34G and it fits great (as long as I nurse/pump about every 4 hours; otherwise it gets snug with all that milk! - sure wish they made an 'H' size). The shoulder straps in the Bella Materna bra are soft (they don't dig or rub) and (once washed) there is no irritating fabric rubbing on my skin from any part of the bra - it's all very smooth and soft. I also use the Bravado Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra (not underwire and yet looks nice and is surprising supportive - although not as good as underwire).

To hide nursing pads in my Bella Materna bras, I use the removable molded foam cups from my Bravado bras and stick my nursing pads to them and put them in my bra - they work great together! (I also tried the Bella Materna Lightly Padded Full Cup Bra (#1261), but the band seemed to be a bit tighter and I don't think the built-in padding allows much room to grow during the day - the Seemless Full Cup is better in my opinion. I ordered directly from the Bella Materna website and received wonderful customer service from 'Anne' and received free goodies with my order - a book, lullaby CD, and samples of organic laundry detergent for hand washing my bras - of course, I usually just put them in a pillow case in the washer on the 'gentle cycle' and then let them air dry.)

While I really wanted to love this Anita nursing bra, the fit wasn't for me. It felt awkward and uncomfortable. I'm sure there are plenty of moms who love this nursing bra, but I'm not one of them. I would recommend spending a little more on a Bella Materna Seamless Full Cup Underwire Nursing Bra (#1361) instead if you have a small band size, need a large cup size, and want underwire.Buy Anita Maternity Women's Microfiber Nursing Bra #5068!

This is bra number two in my four bra buying spree. My first chioce is the seamless by bravado but this is my second choice. I would recommend it.Buy Bravado Microfiber nursing bra!

I tried on several bras and was started to think that I wasn't going to be able to find one. That is until I found this bra. It is super comfortable and the snaps are easy to work with. This bra started out good. It had nice support and felt fine but after less than a month, the wire started to stab me and now feels like it's going to break through the fabric. This is truly the best nursing tank I have found - it is worth every penny. it is so stylish and comfortable. i have 3 of them and wear them non-stop. the length is also excellent - falling slightly below the hips, which is perfect for hiding the postpartum bulge. plus, in a time where you are uncomfortable with your changing body in terms of post-delivery, they actually made me feel confident and a bit sexy wearing them!Buy Bravado! I hate bras. They either flatten me down, are incredibly itchy or make my back ache. This one doesn't flatten and is so comfortable, I actually forget it is on.

I am a relatively small woman with naturally large breasts. As such I have never been able to wear a bra without an underwire. However, when I got pregnant and found my once comfortable C cups very full Ds, it became painful to sleep without a bra. I purchased this bra with the hopes to find relief while I slept from both the breast tenderness and the soreness associated with the underwire bras I was used to. It was heaven sent! I couldn't believe something as soft and gentle as a t-shirt could provide just the right amount of support to keep me contained but comfortable. I had to come back and order more! Well I've had a bag of bras that I've bought over the past few years, that just don't end up fitting, for one reason or another. And usually the reason is "too tight around the back". Well I got the package with 3 colors in it and 3 hook width. I can now wear 75% of those bras. I would only suggest that you use a more beige, beige. The beige I recieve, was more like a dark ivory. This is a very comfortable sleeping bra, super easy to unlatch with one hand. The only thing I didn't like was after a few washes it has turned a dingy yellow (even after I've tried every whitening detergent and additive I could find). This bra is expensive but it was the first bra that really worked for me after trying a Medela, a Bravado, and 2 different department store nursing bras. FINALLY, a bra that my nipples don't show through, a bra that is comfortable, supportive, doesn't bind, and has lasted for several months and still fits great/looks great even though I wear it almost constantly and wash it every 3 days or so.
As far as the reviewer who recommended the Gap bra, just FYI the GAP company has been caught using child labor to manufacture their clothing not once, but TWICE, the second time the children were even being abused with oily rags being stuffed in their mouths when they cried. I personally don't want to give any of my money to that company. Bella Materna bras are manufactured in the united states, so it goes to reason their costs will be a little higher. The quality is high and I will buy from them again. Buy Bella Materna Women's Padded Nursing Bra #1221!

To start, I wear a 36G (in non-nursing sizes, so in this bra I'd wear a 36H). My size is VERY hard to find. I usually end up compromising with a 38DDD or a 40DDD. I thought I'd try this bra because they had a 36H.

Its itchy, definitely not cotton. Its very tight, which is very bad if you are breastfeeding! The 36 part fits me great but the cup is tight and feels terrible on me. It is very supportive, yes, but maybe a little too much so. It reminds me of wearing a minimizer. The seams in the cup are irritating. The band around the sides/back is pretty wide, feels like its in my armpits. The straps are wide but the wide part does not sit on my shoulders, the pressure spot is on the thin part of the strap and its very uncomfortable.

In summary, this bra works as a bra, is supportive, but is very uncomfortable for me. Buy Bravado! The Supreme Nursing Bra!

These bras run a little small, and they are very tight when you first get them (like pantyhose). So order a bigger size than you think you need. Also, I'm not crazy about the straps. They show at the neck even under tshirts, and they sit right on your shoulder muscle. I always seem to get a headache when I wear it, and I think it is from the constant pressing on that muscle. Why three stars? I think if I had gotten a larger size, then the muscle problem would not have been so bad. And it is pretty comfortable and very easy to nurse from. I sure wish I could have traded it out with a bigger size to see.Buy Medela Comfort Maternity Nursing Bra - White - Large!

This was the first nursing bra I bought, and it's still my favorite. I wear this all day and the Medela sleep bra at night. This is a great nursing bra. Super soft, does not pinch any part of the body and it's very practical for full-time working women, easy to use when pumping. Love it!! I bought 3 of them.Buy Anita Maternity Women's Softcup Nursing Bra #5075!

Product is great for intended purpose. Lightweight and breathes well. Easily pulled off breast. Would recommend in pregnancy as well, when breasts are starting to grow in size and get uncomfortable. It is not intended to give a lot of support because it is a sleep bra, so don't expect to use it outside of the home. I wear it around the house and find the support is just enough for hanging around. Recommend buying one size up if you are inbetween sizes or like having the elastic a little looser, they run small and easily shrink (they are mostly cotton) if you dry them. Best way to get them to last is not to put them in the dryer at all, treat them the same as you would treat your "delicates", air dry them if you want to prolong the life of the garment. Besides they are very thin and air dry very fast. Buy Medela Sleep Nursing Bra - White!

The first bra I've found that offers great support and has no spandex, Lycra, Elastane, latex, etc. Finally no hives!! I don't need it for nursing but that's okay - I've searched the internet thoroughly and this is the best I've found - and it comes in plus sizes! Not cheap, but worth every penny.

I have just brought this bra and I only brought one as I am 35 weeks pregnant and was not sure which one to get. I have tried this one for a couple of days 44E and followed the recommendations to get a cup size bigger.
I think this bra is great, but we will have to see about the engorgement phase. I definately plan on getting some more.. but not sure if I need to get a cup size bigger for the engorgement phase. It is certainly very comfortable and fits great, with a little extra space, it will fit great when the milk comes in. I would recommend this product for the women who needs extra support, as I have none and havent had since I was 14 years old, so this bra is great for that. Buy Fancee Free Extra Support Nursing Bra!

Tried this on right away after recieving, was so excited. I'm a very active mom-to-be and was looking for extra support expecially during workouts. At 29 weeks and having gained 25 lbs already, I found that the small was a little too small, but the medium too big- the small was hard to get on and off because it was tight at the top especially, but once on was generally comfortable. Product irritated the underarms at the seams when active. Belly portion fit well and was confortable, but the band at the bottom did irritate my skin a bit, and felt "tight" because it was somehwat narrow elastic (2"). Very see-through garmet. Nowhere near sufficient as a sportsbra, even for small chest size. Does provide significant warmth as a base layer, so with addition of sportsbra and t-shirt, got overheated easily.

Overall, plan to return, as there seem to be better products out there that are wider at the bottom, and not integrated as a shirt/bra as well.Buy Maternity Belly Bra - Nude!

This bra has really good support and super comfortable after some of the others that I tried. The only con is that the button version is hard to open with one hand. (there are two versions - the button snaps and the fastener type - and they dont offer you the option of choosing. My first bra was snaps and the second I ordered came with plastic fasteners)
My advice would be to go up a cup size for better comfort since there will be days of engorged breasts or sore nipples.Buy Bravado Basic nursing bra!

I love these bras. My only mistake was buying them when I was ~36 weeks pregnant with my first. I was straddling 4 sizes (M, M+, L, and L+) and we decided to stick with the smallest because it really fit the best. Bad idea! As soon as I gave birth and my milk came in, these bras were so painful and tight!!! I ended up selling 6 M's, slightly used, on eBay. I kept one and wouldn't you know, it's now my favorite bra, over 2 years later, while pregnant with my 2nd (and still nursing the 1st!). Now the M is starting to get a little skimpy again so I'm buying a large or two to start with. I do recommend these -- they are supportive, comfortable (when they fit properly -- though I don't think anything would have been comfortable in my super-sore/engorged state!), and don't look half bad under clothes ;). Buy Bravado! Original Nursing Bra!

I bought this bra on 12/15 after seeing it in a magazine. It arrived on 12/17 and was everything I had imagined and more. It's very pretty, soft, and wireless! I didnt think the cup size (D) would fit, since Im a large D, but after trying it on I was pleasantly surprised. It has stretch so it can accomodate my heavy chest, and it also lifts and separates. Im 6 months pregnant now, and I plan on buying 3 more after the baby is born. I would wear these regardless of being a mom, they are completely comfortable and its not easy finding a sexy wireless bra with support that fits all sizes. I wear a lot of low cut v-necks or crossover tops and this one of the only nursing bras I've found that are low enough. The other is the Bella Materna Contour Bra. I had tried Bravado and Anita brands, and I wish I had found this one first. This bra is by far the easiest to deal with because I don't have to unhook the cups. What can I say? Comfortable, simple design, inexpensive, no problems. It does run a tad small but I ordered my usual size and it fits well enough. I find the fabric thick enough that it's okay there's no other lining/cup; I never "show through" whatever I'm wearing with it.

Overall good deal.Buy Barely There Breathe Bralette!

Being a 38J, there is little choice for a nursing bra. It is better than squeezing the girls into something too small but for the price I'd like to have felt like the shape was flattering as well. Instead the seam that runs along the front panel is positioned in a weird spot and makes the "quad-boob" look near the underarms. It is comfortable, but not very flattering in appearance. I will definately have to wear baggy shirts until I'm done nursing or until more flattering styles are made for my size.Buy Goddess Women's Comfort Zone Nursing Bra #GD2050!

This is by far my favorite nursing bra. It fits me perfectly (38D nursing), and I disagree with the previous reviewer that claimed the sizing was non-standard. This is the same size I wear with other brands. I found this bra extremely comfortable, with adequate support, and it looks good too. The nursing flaps are easily opened with one hand. I can't speak to the durability because i haven't owned it long, but it appears to be well made. Cups are not thick enough to completely hide breast pad lumps, nonetheless the look of this bra is superior to any other nursing bra i've tried. I'll be buying several more of these.Buy Bravado Lifestyle Microfiber Nursing Bra!

The mythical and ever-elusive perfect nursing bra has been found!! Here's my story... My daughter nursed for two years, and I searched that entire time for a decent nursing bra, to no avail. I tried dozens of styles and brands, from cheap to triple-digits in price, and found nothing that kept its fit and support for more than a few weeks. It was so frustrating! Then, when I was expecting my son, I went to a specialty bra shop for a fitting and a few recommendations, and discovered this bra. I am amazed!! I got this bra figuring the stretchy cups would get me through the last month of my pregnancy and then the early weeks of fluctuating cup sizes while my milk came in and got regulated. I figured by the time that was done, this bra would be worn out and end up in the trash like all the rest. Well, I was wrong!! This bra has seen me through all of that, and continued to perform like a champ, even though I have had it for almost ten months now. That's right, I said, ten months! I bought three different types of nursing bras when I got this one, and this is the only one that survived this long (the Bravado Supreme lasted over 7 months, which is also impressive). Despite being machine washed and dried almost daily, this bra has continued to fit just as well as it did when it was new, and it is just a comfortable and supportive. Even though I am not a big fan of the "uniboob" styling, I am convinced that this is the best nursing bra out there. I wish I had known about this one when my daughter was nursing! And for the price... well, this bra just can't be beat. When I wear a top that really requires something other than the "uniboob" look, I wear my Bravado Supreme. Otherwise, I just about live in this one. I wear it every night, and most days too. I would recommend this bra wholeheartedly and without hesitation to any woman with a full bust (I am a 38G). In fact, I already have recommended it to a friend, and she loves hers just as much as I love mine!Buy Bravado Double Plus nursing bra!
